Lauran V. Berry, age 71, of Navarre, Florida, passed away on January 17, 2026.

Lauran was born on August 20, 1954, in Montgomery, Alabama. She later made her home in Navarre, Florida, where she lived with strength, grace, and independence. She was educated at John Patterson Technical College.

A true southern lady, Lauran was known for her sweet and tender-hearted nature, her strong and independent spirit, and her contagious laugh that could light up a room. She found joy in working with flowers, creating art and crafts, and especially treasured outings and time spent with her beloved granddaughter. Family meant everything to her, and her love was felt deeply by all who knew her.

Lauran is preceded in death by her mother, Alarea V. Jones, and her father, John R. Jones Jr.

She is survived by her loving family; her son, Beau Berry (Savannah); her granddaughter, Lana Berry; her brother, John “Sam” R. Jones III (Cathy); her sisters, Mary Shoaf (Ken), Cheryl “Sherry” Corlee (Allen), and Kathryn “Kathy” Weatherford (Joe).

Lauran will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, her gentle heart, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Mashburn serving as officiant. A committal service will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
