Village Inn has lost a lifelong customer; Lawrence Harry Harrier, age 91, has passed away. In his living years he has seen some amazing stuff. He proudly served in the US Navy for 30 years. He's been quoted as saying "You're going to have to speak up." He loved the Atlanta Braves, old westerns and making bird houses. He has said goodbye to his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Larry and David as well as his brother, John and sisters, Phyllis and Helen. He left behind some amazing people; his daughters, Debbie Phillips, Dana Trapozzano, Susan Estes and Nicola Cleary as well as his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He will be missed by Dot Godwin and her lovely family which he thought of as his very own. He became a grandfather to her 4 grandchildren and a great grandfather to her 4 great grandchildren. He was lucky to have such wonderful people surrounding him and loved them all very much. He will be missed by all. Come join us in saying goodbye to a great man. A visitation will be held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel and burial will follow at 11:00am at Barrancas National Cemetery with full Navy honors. See you there.
