Dr. Lawrence Albert Keigley, 81, of Elsanor, AL died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, January 30, 2025. He passed comfortably in his home on his beloved "Blackhawk Farm."

Lawrence, known fondly by family and friends as "Boo" was born on March 7, 1943, in Crowley, LA. Boo graduated from Crowley High School in 1961, then got a degree from ULL in 1965. He then went on to graduate from Loyola Dental School with his D.D.S. in 1971. He was a Navy Lieutenant in Jacksonville, FL and worked as a Naval dentist from 1971-1973. Boo then moved to Pensacola, FL in 1973 and ran a successful dental practice in Pensacola until 1994. He was forced to abruptly end his dental career due to a tragic skiing accident, but was able to discover his new passion of raising and showing Tennessee Walker horses on his farm in Elsanor, AL. Caring for his horses and his farm became a source of pride and satisfaction for Boo; which was evident to anyone who was fortunate enough to experience his pristine home.

Boo is preceded in death by his wife, Jan Keigley of Elsanor, AL; his parents, Elmo Keigley Jr. and Virginia Fontenot Keigley of Crowley, LA; his brothers, Elmo "Dickie" Anderson Keigley and Charles Louis Keigley from Crowley, LA; and grandson, Lucas David Keigley of Gulf Breeze, FL.

Boo is survived by his sons, David Lawrence Keigley (Carri) and their children, Jordan (Hannah), Grace, and Tristan; his son, Brian Douglas Keigley (Ashley) and their children, Toler and Stella; and his daughter, Laura Keigley Savoie (Christian) and their children, Alexander, Vance, Harlan, and Pierce. All of his children and grandchildren reside in Gulf Breeze, FL. He is also survived by his brother, Steven Allen Keigley (Michele) of Cross Plains, TX.

Visitation will be held from 9:30am until a Funeral Service begins at 10:30am Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL, with Pastor Nathan Pooley officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL.
