Lawrence Joseph Krawitz, 90, of Pensacola passed away Friday, May 31, 2013. Mr. Krawitz was born in New York on November 22, 1922 to Faye (Dworken) and Benjamin H. Krawitz. He served his country in the US Army, after which he attended and graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for RCA retiring with 32 years of service. Mr. Krawitz had volunteered at Sacred Heart Hospital since 1995. He was a member and had served several times as the Worshipful Master at Myrtle Grove Lodge # 352 F&AM, Scottish Rite, and was a member of the Hadji Shrine Temple. Mr. Krawitz was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin Krawitz; and son, Michael Krawitz. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Cecelia Krawitz; sons, Paul and Steven Krawitz; five grandchildren, Jordan, Daniel, Rebecca, Jessica and Brien Krawitz; one great granddaughter, Kalee Krawitz; brother, Lowell Krawitz. A Funeral cortege will depart Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel at 10:30am Thursday, June 6, 2013 for a Graveside Service at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, Suite #100, Pensacola, FL 32504.
