Richard "Dick" Litzinger, 85, of Pensacola, FL passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at West Florida Covenant Hospice. Dick was born in Williamsport, PA on July 29, 1929. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Dick is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; sons, Jeffrey and Paul (Donna); daughter, Jennifer (Shaun); 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Jane Angle. Dick graduated Cum Laude from the Univ. of West Florida. He retired as a LCDR from the Navy after 28 years. Later he retired from the State of Florida after 15 years. Dick was an elder and a choir member at Trinity Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and also volunteered as a guardian advocate for the mentally ill. He enjoyed golf, reading and traveling. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00am. A reception will follow in the church parlor.
