LCDR Seymour "Si" J. Marshall, USN (Ret.), age 99, of Pensacola, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

Si was born on May 20, 1924, to the late Joseph and Bertha Zsupnik Marshall in Chicago, IL. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, his wife of 50 years, Rita Cathryn "Honey" Marshall. Si proudly served his country in the US NAVY and retired as LCDR. He was an active member of the Pensacola community for many years. He retired as District Manager and Senior Vice President of S.S. Steele. He served as former chairman of the Santa Rosa Island Authority, former president, and King of Krewe of Lafitte, and was a former board member of the Escambia County Housing Authority. He also served as a tour guide for the Naval Aviation Museum and was a member of Pensacola Yacht Club. Si was a member of the Die Hard Cubs Fan club since 1924.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Elizabeth "Bess" Denny-Abernathy and Maureen Bloodworth; granddaughters, Katherine Denny and Meaghan Bloodworth Field (Sean); great-grandchildren, Norah Field and John "Jack" Field.

Visitation will be held 9:00am-10:00am Thursday June 8, 2023, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rosary to be prayed at 10:00am.

A graveside service will follow at 11:00am at Barrancas National Cemetery with Military Honors being accorded by the US Navy and Fr. John Licari, as Celebrant. Procession to the cemetery will depart at 10:30am from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL 32504.
