Leland Lloyd Crumpler, 68, of Martinez, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Doctors Hospital. Lloyd was born on June 8, 1941 to Leland Aris Sexton and Mattie Belle Sexton Crumpler. He was a longtime resident of Pensacola and Augusta, and worshipped at Abilene Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. In addition to his church involvement, he had a love of cars, flying, and entertaining others with his quick wit. The most important aspect of his life was his devotion to his family. His parents, Leland Aris Sexton and Mattie Belle Sexton Crumpler, and his stepfather, James Porter Crumpler, preceded him in death. His wife of 48 years, Barbara Ann Crumpler, a daughter, Sheri Anderson, a grandson, Chandler Anderson, a brother, John R. Crumpler, and a sister, Carol Ann Clark, survives him. The family will receive friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 12noon until the Funeral Service at 1:00pm, Rev. Ken Griffin will officiate.
