Audra "Lenora" McArthur, 85, of Tallahassee, FL (formerly of Pensacola, FL), passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Lenora was born on March 18, 1938, in Hanceville, AL to the late James and Lenora Puckett Rowe. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1955, received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Foreign Languages from Florida State University in 1958, and received her Master's Degree in Library and Information Technology from Florida State University in 1982.

She was a teacher and librarian and enjoyed gardening, genealogy, storytelling, children's literature and traveling (Attended the International Storytelling Convention in Jonesboro, TN for several years.) She was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Day Lilly Club and Clopton Family Association.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William M. McArthur; her son, Gregory Lawrence McArthur; two brothers, Norman Rowe and Conrad Rowe; as well as her sister, Cecile Jacobson.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her sons, Brian McArthur of Madison, FL and Scott McArthur of Tallahassee, FL; grandsons, Greg McArthur of Pensacola, FL, Will McArthur of Lansing, MI, Spencer McArthur (Katie) of Chicago, IL, and Aidan McArthur of Tallahassee, FL; granddaughters, Rachel McArthur of Pensacola, Hannah Norman (M. Trent Norman) of Pensacola, Catherine McArthur of Pensacola, Kelsey Ale of Los Angeles, CA, Lillian Hoch (Jon Hoch) of Tallahassee, FL and Finlea McArthur of Tallahassee, FL; great grandsons, Taven Norman, Cian Bush, Hamzah Abdusshakur- McArthur, and Judah Hoch; great granddaughter, Olivia Norman; brother-in-law, Gerald McArthur and sister-in-law, Annette McArthur, both of Pensacola, FL; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held 2:00pm until a Memorial Service begins at 3:00pm Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with her nephew, Ronnie Rowe, officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Bayview Memorial Park.
