Lilace Jeanette Wilhite Hamilton, 81, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021.

Lilace was born in Pensacola, FL on September 14, 1939 to the late Lilburn and Margaret Wilhite, Jr. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Joseph H. Hamilton, Sr. and a brother, Lilburn Wilhite. She attended Pensacola High School, where she graduated in 1957.

Lilace was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong Christian and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her five children, Wanda Hamilton Hooks, Ramona Dixon, Leigh Ann Hamilton, Beverly Wilker and Joseph H. Hamilton, Jr.; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; her two sisters, Juanita (Bill) Peters and Robbie Lynn; a brother, Rodney (Lynn) Wilhite.

Visitation will be held 12:00noon until a memorial service to begin at 1:00pm Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola FL, with Pastor Len Ballenger officiating.

A private family committal service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery where she will be inurned with her husband.
