Obituary

Lillian Kiedinger, 88, of Pensacola, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Lillian was born on September 8, 1929 to Archie Lister and Ruby Wells. Lillian attended Tate High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Kiedinger in Bay Minette in 1947.

After marriage, Lil traveled all over the United States and to Okinawa following her husband, Jim, as he was assigned projects as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry. As well as four years in Okinawa, they spent time in Mississippi, South Carolina, California, Texas, and New Mexico before returning to Pensacola in 1972. It was an interesting life and she enjoyed the exposure to the various lifestyles and cultures of the places she lived, making new friends, and enjoying golf and bridge. Upon her return to Pensacola, she started Lillian's Dress Shop, which was her pride and joy for 25 years until she retired. While owning the dress shop, she loved keeping her grandchildren, Sara and Brian, while her son, Jim, and his wife, Ruth, worked. The kids loved playing at the shop and going for ice cream. Lillian was also known for her cooking and many a holiday she hosted family and friends to enjoy each other and stuff themselves on her delicious meals. Her family will remember her as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Heamon Lister; sisters, Joan Hall, Joyce Walker, and Hazel Pfeiffer.

Lillian is survived by Jim, her husband of 70 years; son, Jim Kiedinger, Jr. (Ruth); two grandchildren, Sara and Brian (Lauren); sister, Jewel Perl; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd until the Funeral Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
