Linda Carol Borden, 74, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Linda was born on June 22, 1941 in Gate City, VA. She graduated from North Miami High School in 1959. She worked as a bank teller, teacher assistant and certified nursing assistant.
Linda was an extremely compassionate and giving woman who continued to work for Nursefinders of Pensacola providing companion care up to her passing.
Linda was a devoted wife and mother and one of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Fraysier and mother, Lois Hommell Fraysier.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Wesley (Wes) Borden, Jr.; a daughter, Andrea Borden Schmidt (Rick) of Atlanta, GA; a son, Keith Borden (Katherine) of Gulf Breeze, FL; stepdaughter, Deborah Dawson (Ken) of Salem, AL; her grandchildren, Rebecca Rosas, Rob Dawson, Rachel Dawson, Harper Borden and Charlie Borden; brother, Daniel Fraysier of Sanford, FL and a uncle, Glen Hommell (Barbara) of Miami, FL.
Visitation will be held 10am Wednesday, June 22, 2016 with Memorial services beginning at 11am from Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 223 W. Gregory St., Pensacola, FL 32502 or the American Lung Association, 4300 Bayou Blvd., Suite 2, Pensacola, FL 32503.
