It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Belle Hall Dean. Linda peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and the comfort of her faith. Linda was a faithful servant of God, devoted wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved family member and friend.
Born in Pensacola, FL, on September 15, 1942, Linda found joy in sharing her faith, supporting her community, and spending time with those she loved. Her warmth, wisdom, and compassionate heart touched the lives of many. She lived each day with purpose, guided by her belief in serving others and trusting God’s plan.
Linda graduated from Brent Christian High School and went on to become a compassionate caregiver whose career in nursing spanned over forty-two years starting in 1961 as a Licensed Practical Nurse and later in 1981, a Registered Nurse. Through her gentle touch, kind words, and unwavering dedication, she provided comfort and healing to countless patients, families, and newborn babies. After retiring from nursing in 2003, she continued to serve others with the same selfless spirit that defined her life.
In 1962, she married Kenneth Dean of Slocomb, AL, beginning a loving partnership that would span over 64 years. The couple made their home in Pensacola, FL, where they spent most of their married life together raising their two children. In retirement, they embraced their shared love of travel, journeying across the country creating cherished memories while visiting friends and family along the way.
A woman of deep faith, Linda was actively involved in her church and considered her relationship with God the foundation of everything she did. She faithfully attended worship services, participated in Bible studies, volunteered in numerous ministries, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her church family knew her as a prayer warrior, a source of encouragement, and a shining example of Christian love and grace.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Lena Hall, and her brother, Macks Hall. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Kenneth Dean; her daughter, Deborah Brownlee, her son, Jeffery Dean (Niki); her granddaughters, Melinda Parnell (Michael) and Sarah Goff (CJ); great-granddaughter, Darcy; brothers Buddy Hall (Connie) and Galon Hall (Dianne) and sister-in-law, Brenda Simmons; and many other cherished family members, dear friends, her church family, and all who were blessed to know her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us all.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, gratitude, and faith to honor Linda Belle Hall Dean, a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love, compassion, and devotion to God on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with visitation held at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel from 1:00pm -2:00pm. A Graveside Service to follow at Bayview Memorial Park at 2:30pm.
Forever Loved, Forever Remembered, and Forever in God's Care.
