Obituary

Linda Sue Hall, 67, a resident of Pensacola, FL for 30 years passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Linda was born on September 24, 1946 in Salem, OH and spent her childhood on a farm in Kensington, OH. She was the daughter of a WW II veteran. Linda graduated from United Local High School in 1964 and married her high school sweetheart. Ready for adventure, she saw the world for the next 20 years serving her country as a proud Navy wife. She had 4 children all born in different states and in one foreign country. She had a generous and kind spirit and loved to have fun. Linda received her Associates Degree in Nursing in August 1979 and worked in neonatal intensive care, dialysis and geriatrics. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, crafts, antiques, gardening and cooking. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, friend and supporter and her loss is immeasurable. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Gromley; brother, Joseph L. Gromley and her grandson Joseph A. Hall. Linda is survived by her mother, Mary Gromley; brothers, Jim (Linda), Phil (Casey) and Fred (Marlene) Gromley; sister, Marge Gromley all of Ohio, the Buckeye State. Daughters, Michelle (Charles) Brakhage of San Antonio, TX; Tracy (Doug) Hester of Greenville, AL; sons, MSgt Walter Scott (Jennifer) Hall of Okinawa, Japan and Michael Hall of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Sammy Riley, Jestin Hall, Christopher Densmore, Mackenzie Hall, Courtney Hall, great grandson Hunter Riley and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral procession will begin at 1:30pm Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel for a Graveside Service at 2:00pm at Milton Cemetery, Berryhill Road in Milton, FL. Pallbearers are: Phillip Gromley, Scott, Mike and Jestin Hall, Sammy Riley and Doug Hester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org or the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org The family would like to express a special thanks to the physicians and the ICU nursing staff at the Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Institute in New Orleans, LA.
