Linda Andereck Knowles, 66, of Gulf Breeze, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 surrounded by friends and family. Linda leaves behind her beloved son, Brian Knowles, his precious wife Jill, as well as the "two loves of her life", 2 grandchildren, Julia and Stella. She also leaves behind her life partner and best friend since 2001, Dave Lindemann. Linda is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Bronson, brother-in law, Jim; niece, Jennifer Dunbar (Jay), nephew Jim Bronson (Vicki); great nephew, Tommy and 2 great nieces, Lauren and Grace. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bessie and Clint Andereck. Linda grew up in Pensacola, where she was the Salutatorian of Woodham High School, class of 1967. She taught mathematics in the classroom for over 35 years, she was the "Calculus Queen" and received the honor of Teacher of the Year at Gulf Breeze High School. She adored and loved her students, and they adored and loved her. She continued to tutor students in Calculus after retiring. She had so much joy in life and lived every moment to the fullest. She sang beautifully and loved playing tennis and walking. Spending time with her cats, her grandchildren and her friends were her most favorite moments. Linda brought joy, love and light to every person she met. Her smile was contagious. She saw only the best in people and was loved by all who knew her. As a friend said, heaven got a beautiful, purple sparkly, glittery soul. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Dr., Gulf Breeze, FL 32561. Graveside services will be held at 10am Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32503. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.
