Linda was born in Panama City, FL on November 16, 1953 to Lorene Price Andrews and the late Harold Andrews. She grew up in Pensacola, FL and graduated from Woodham High School. She worked as a banking operator before becoming a CLIA travel agent. She loved planning exotic cruises for her many grateful clients.
Linda loved to travel and visited many countries, including Alaska, Ireland, London, Paris, Florence, Rome and Bora Bora with her husband, Bill.
Linda especially liked taking cruises to exotic locations like Cozumel, Cancun, Curacao, Aruba, the Caymans, Nassau, Martinique, Jamaica, Barbados, Dominique and Alaska with Bill; stepdaughter, Megan; her mother, Lorene and aunts, Merle and Theresa. She also enjoyed winter ski trips to Aspen, Vail and Big Sky with Bill and Megan.
The thing she loved most was taking care of and "spoiling" her beloved husband, Bill; stepdaughter, Megan and her boxer dog, Bodacious.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Harold Andrews; brother, Ronnie Andrews and uncle, Tommy Gamble.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William J. Shanahan; stepdaughters, Megan Shanahan, Judy Shanahan, Allison Shanahan; mother, Lorene Andrews; sister, Elise Andrews; aunts, Merle Brown and Theresa Gamble; nephew, Destin Dinicola and niece Chelsea Andrews.
Visitation will be held 8:30am Friday, November 4, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Memorial Service will begin at 9:45am with Fr. Tom Koyickal celebrant. Graveside Committal Service will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Autism Research Institute, 4182 Adams Ave., San Diego, CA 92116.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her expert and caring doctors, Dr. John Wagner, Dr. Gary Gotthelf, Dr. Nancy Morris, Dr. Miguel Mancao, Dr. Joe Kiefer and her dedicated ICU nurses, Shannon Ward and Elizabeth Navarro at Sacred Heart Hospital ICU.
