Obituary

Lois Heine Kearley, 95, of Pensacola was called home Saturday, September 23, 2023.

The youngest of four, she was born in Scottsboro, AL on August 30, 1928. Marrying Bert Heine in her early twenties, Lois became the proud mother of two sons, Calvin, and David Heine. Lois's artistry was being an excellent cook and seamstress. She also enjoyed gardening and playing Bridge and was always the voice of calm reason, regardless of the circumstances. Besides being a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker, Lois worked in Civil Service and spent the majority of her career as a Social Security Claims Representative for which she received many awards!  Later in life, Lois married Thomas Kearley. Being a devout Christian, Lois remained a member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola for 71 years and "walked her talk," always treating others with kindness, respect, compassion, and generosity!

Lois is preceded in death by her two sons, Calvin, and David Heine; her husband, Thomas Kearley; and her siblings, Paul Stogsdill of Wagner, SD; Louise Henley (Worth) of Sacramento, CA; and Leonard Garvice Stogsdill of Wagner, SD.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandson, Joffrey Heine (Janet) of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Christina Heine of Pensacola, FL; and great-grandson Seth Heine of Jacksonville, FL. Nieces, Lana Dodge (Dennis) of Avon, SD; Linda Morse (Ray) of Elko, NV; Paulette Ford (Linn) of Mankato, MN; and Pat Heine of Sylacauga, AL. Nephews, George Henley (Deborah) of Fairhope, AL; Gene Stogsdill (Vicki) of Tabor, SD; Lawrence "Pete" Stogsdill (Polly) of San Diego, CA.

A Graveside "Celebration of Life" Service will be held at Bayview Memorial Park on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 9:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois's name may be made to the Escambia County Animal Shelter and/or the Santa Rosa County Animal Services.
