It is with great sorrow that her family announces the passing of Lola M. Correll (née Johnson) on May 27, 2021. Born in Pensacola, FL, on February 20, 1942, Lola was the only child of Hastings Fulton Johnson and Eva Mae Johnson (née Searcy). Lola grew up near downtown Pensacola and graduated from Pensacola Adult High School in 1959.

She was active in Pensacola social circles, serving in the Krewe of Aphrodite for several years (2008 Queen), and serving as the 2012 Queen of the Krewe of Lafitte. She became quite an accomplished pool player in her later years, taking 3rd place with her team at the 2019 USAPL World Team Playoffs in Las Vegas.

Lola was many things throughout her long life: a business owner, a civil servant, a bank vice-president; but as mothers do, she found her greatest pride in watching her family thrive and find happiness. And to this end, she was generous to a fault. She faced countless obstacles during her life, and through them, she taught her family strength and grace during times of adversity.

Lola is survived by the love of her life, Richard "Butch" Correll, who filled Lola's final 28 years with love, laughter, and adventure; daughters, Belinda Pittman and Sherry Johnson; son, Robert Babin; grandchildren, Jerry M. Weaver (Amy), David Johnson (Celia), Michelle Pittman, and Tyler Babin; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; cousins, Bill Cannon and Danny Bowers; and numerous friends who she held close to her heart and who made her life complete.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Thomas Edwin "Sonny" Weaver and Jerry Lee Weaver, Jr.; grandson, Jason Ronald Pittman; brother-in-law, Robert Correll; and sisters-in-law, Doris Emmett (Bill), Ruth Gibb, and Fran Cuno. Her family cherishes the memory of those of us who went before her and takes comfort in knowing they welcomed her home.

Visitation will be held 2:00pm-4:00pm Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. Funeral Service will be held 10:30am Monday, June 7, 2021 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
