Lorraine Henderson affectionately known as "Grandma" by all that knew and loved her, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, May 9, 2018. Lorraine will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Born in Pace, FL, she resided in Pensacola, FL since 1948. Lorraine worked at Escambia High School cafeteria for 10 years, but her proudest job was her family. She loved for the family to gather at her house to spend time together. She loved fishing for bream at Lake Okeechobee, but never touched the bait or fish.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arch Henderson; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Wiley Penton; brothers, Shelly Penton, and Winston Penton.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Michele) Henderson; daughters, Nancy Smith, and Linda (Russell) Judkins; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Collins; brother-in-law, Crockett Henderson; sister-in-law, Louise Henderson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She never missed an occasion to see her babies either perform in sport, cheerleading, or graduation ceremony. She was a staple at any event which recognized the kids. Grandma will be missed by many, but everyone will be happy knowing that she is once again dancing with Papa (Arch).

Visitation will be held 1:00pm until a Funeral Service at 2:00pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 6 E. Wright St., Downtown Pensacola with Dr. Wesley Wachob officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
