Louis Paul Barberi, Jr., was born in Pensacola March 26 ^th 1931. The lifetime Pensacola native grew up in East Pensacola Heights and graduated from Catholic High School in 1948. He was a United States Army Veteran who also served in the Navy Reserves. After his service to his country in 1959 Mr. Barberi returned home to Pensacola. A second generation Plumber, he founded Louis P. Barberi Plumbing in 1972, a family business that has served Pensacola for more than forty years. Mr. Barberi was a devout Catholic, serving as an usher at St. Paul's where he was a charter member. Over the years he served on multiple boards and was instrumental in raising the level of professionalism of the plumbing industry and furthering the education of the plumbing community throughout the State of Florida.

Louis Barberi enjoyed fishing and as a member of the Pensacola Recreational Fisherman's Association helped host the annual kid's fishing clinic for many years to promote fishing to the next generation in Pensacola. Louis had a servant's heart and will be most remembered for the love and compassion he had for others in his community, his generosity to the less fortunate, and the abounding love and dedication he had for his family.

Louis Barberi passed away on July 4 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Sr. and Frances, his sister Geraldine Quina, his granddaughter Wendy Wingard, his great granddaughter Madison Jennings, and his great grandson Lukas Wingard. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Chavis Barberi; daughter, Terri Wingard; son, Michael Douglas Barberi (Jaunita); daughter, Dr. Beverly D. Barberi; son, Patrick Dale Barberi; son, Dana Paul Barberi (Carol); daughter, Tina Wuest (Dennis); daughter, Judith Lacy (James); brother, Michael W. Barberi (Beverly); sisters, Mary Davis, Betty Ann Chappelle and Veronica McCrory (Donald); eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited for Louis on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 1:30pm, visitation will follow from 2:00 – 4:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00pm, Monday, July 9, 2018 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3131 Hyde Park Rd, Pensacola, FL 32504 with Fr. Craig Smith as celebrant. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
