IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louise Chambers
Green
January 28, 1931 – July 19, 2017
Louise Chambers Green, 86, of Austin, TX and formerly of Pensacola, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Minnie Louise Chambers was born on January 28, 1931, the youngest of three daughters to Charles Raymond Chambers and Clifforde Georgia Roberts in Pittsburgh, PA. Her father passed when she was a young child; therefore, she was raised by a single, strong mother during the depression in the Mount Washington area of Pittsburgh. As all childhoods do, hers shaped the woman she would become. Louise was fierce with a kind, generous heart. She was quick to defend the underdog and argue that which she deemed unjust. Although she lived in Pittsburgh her entire life, her family moved to Detroit, MI prior to her senior year of high school. Following graduation from high school in 1949, Louise entered the work force as a young adult. At times, she traveled to the south to visit with and assist her mother when her mother's health necessitated it. It was on such a trip to the deep south that she met her husband, Joseph Franklin Green, and this love is what ultimately transplanted the fiery Yankee to the south. After marrying in 1950, she became the mother of two children whom she raised while journeying with Joe across the southeastern United States. Although Joe and Louise were rarely in one town or state for many years (due to Joe's work with Rainbo bread), Louise certainly left her mark and touched the lives of those she met in each new place. To know Louise was to know a Scotch-Irish woman who "came from good stock," believed in hard work, had a generous spirit, and maintained a true sense of loyalty to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Green.
Louise is survived by her son, Dennis Green (Amanda), Austin, TX; daughter, Joanna Carter, Corbin, KY; grandchildren, Jason Green (Crystal), Austin, TX, Misty Davison (Jeremy), Cedar Park, TX, Alec Green, Dripping Springs, TX, Taylor Green, Austin, TX, Christina Stacy (Dustin), Lexington, KY, Amanda Donaldson, Louisville, KY, Rebecca Carter, Frankfort, KY and Georgianna Stacy (Kyle), Lexington, KY; 11 great-grandchildren, Austin, Skyler, Ayden, Haley, Cara, Tristan, Aidan, Madeline, Eleanor, Connor and Logan.
