Louise Collins Urquhart, 98, of Pace, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Louise was born on September 27, 1927, in the Bethlehem community in Holmes County, FL, to parents, John J. Collins and Annie Lee Williams Collins. She graduated from Bethlehem High School as the valedictorian of her class. She was also a star player on the Bethlehem girls' basketball team during high school. In her senior year of high school, she married a young soldier, Vaughn S. Urquhart, who was on his way to join his combat unit in France. Louise was a long-time member of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Wayne and Johnny Collins; and her sisters, Naomi Riley and Juanita Costner.

She is survived by her daughters, Marcita Cooper (Tom) and Cindy Salter (Ken); her son, Sonny Urquhart (Diane); and her sister, Mary Florence; her grandchildren, Danny Urquhart (Autumn), Marcilla Gross (Michael), Thomas Cooper (Silvia), Caitlin Lacey (Alex), Rachael Salter, and Jacob Salter; as well as her great-grandchildren, Elijah Urquhart (Mary Katherine), Dawson Gross, Cade Lacey, and Olivia Lacey.

A visitation will be held from 1:00pm until a funeral service to begin at 1:30pm Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Chaplain Colonel Dan Urquhart officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Michael Gross, Roy Thomas Cooper IV, Alex Lacey, Jacob Salter, and Wesley Etheridge.
