Louise S. Young, 94, of Pensacola, FL died at Covenant Hospice, West Florida Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2014. Born Emma Louise Squire on January 31, 1920 in Winchester, IL as the second daughter of John E. and Maude M. Squire, she married Herbert M. Young on March 6, 1942. She was a Navy wife for 20 years, spanning WWII and the Korean War, living at various Naval Air Station installations, until retiring to Pensacola in June, 1962. She was a resident of Azalea Trace Retirement-Life Community since 2004. She was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and active with the Women's Circle. Her parents, one sister and a brother preceded her in death. Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Brian K. and Teresa J. Young of Biloxi, MS and her son, Randall K. Young of Houston, TX with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Known as "Sis" and Aunt Sis, she is also survived by three nieces from the Squire/Thies family of Mason City, IL. Visitation will be held beginning at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 31, 2014 with a Funeral service following at 1:00pm from Harper Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Dietz, Azalea Trace Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow the services immediately at Barrancas National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy, Jason and Joshua Young and grandson-in-law M. Andrew Phelps.
