Richard "Dick" J. Ducote, Lt. Col. (USAF ret.) 1933-2009 Richard "Dick" J. Ducote, Lt. Col. (USAF ret.), 75, of Pensacola, FL passed away Monday, March 9, 2009. Dick was born August 11, 1933 in San Diego, CA. He graduated from the US Naval Academy class of 1957 and went on to graduate with a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He served his country in the US Air Force with over 21 years of service. He went on to work and retire as an Aerospace Engineer at Naval Depot, Pensacola. His hobbies include spending time with family, reading, and he loved movies. He was a member of MOAA. Mr. Ducote was preceded in death by his parents, Lanson "Duke" and Mary Rabalais Ducote; his wife, Kitce Lappington Ducote; and his in laws, George and Angel Lappington. Survivors include his daughters, Judy Ducote Black (Tim) of Martinsville, IN, Ileene Ducote (Steven Abner) of Birmingham, AL, Angel Marie Ducote Molpus (Kirk) of Pensacola, FL, and Dickce Ducote Little (Michael) of Mobile, AL; and nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held 1-2pm Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Memorial Mass to begin at 2:00pm with Fr. Peter McLaughlin celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pensacola Humane Society, 5 N. "Q" St. Pensacola, FL 32505 or to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave. Pensacola, FL 32504.
