IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynwood "Woody"
Vernon Fletcher, Jr.
November 16, 1948 – May 13, 2025
Lynwood Vernon Fletcher Jr., lovingly known as Woody, passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 16, 1948, in Gary, IN, Woody touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.
In the 1970s, Woody and his beloved wife, Vicki, were among the first to experience the serene beauty of Perdido Key, where they created countless memories surfing, skiing, playing pool, and exploring the island. Golf, however, quickly became Woody's game, a pursuit he passionately enjoyed with friends for decades. As his family grew, they eventually relocated to Pensacola, returning to Warrington, where he had grown up as a kid.
Woody founded Fletcher's Towing, where his kindness left a lasting impression on both the community and his colleagues. Even in his later years, he worked tirelessly alongside his son, Mac, embodying a spirit of perseverance and dedication.
Woody's legacy continues through his devoted wife, Vicki; his son, Mac; his grandchildren, Nolan and Kate; and four sisters, Lynn, Pamela, Laurie, and Stephanie. He will always be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends.
Following Woody's wishes, there will be no formal ceremony.
