M. E. (Ed) Drossos, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2010. He was born in Pensacola, FL on November 9, 1936. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1954. He was employed with Edward M. Chadbourne, Inc. beginning in 1955 and retired as Vice-President in 1995. Ed was a longtime member of Olive Baptist Church, where he taught the His Men Sunday School class. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Juanita; son, Danny Drossos (Jessie); daughter, Debbie Smith (George); grandchildren, Zachary Smith, Hillary Smith, Melody VanWitzenburg (Mathew), Katie Ging (Mikey) and great grandson, Brycen Daniel VanWitzenburg. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:00am Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with the service to follow at 10:00am. Active pallbearers will be Paul Gray, Tommie Hudson, Steve Smith, Keith Mudge, Scott Mudge and Frank Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be members of his Sunday School class. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ministry Village at Olive Baptist Church, 1836 E. Olive Road, Pensacola, FL 32514 or the Memorial Fund at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3400 Bayou Blvd. Pensacola, FL 32503.
