Margaret Rose
Crayne
July 18, 1935 – April 19, 2026
Margaret Rose Crayne, lovingly known as Rose, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, after a long and meaningful life. She was born on July 18, 1935, in Dalry, Scotland, to Nicandro and Mary Dollan Arcaro.
In 1959, Rose married Donald and embraced the life of a military wife, building a strong and loving home wherever life took them. Over 62 years of marriage, they raised five daughters who were the pride and joy of her life: Donna Robinson (Marty), Darla Mangels (Martin), Lesa Crayne (Bob), Sherry Grayson (Ed) and Angela Stull (Randy).
Rose was, at her core, a giver. She found joy in sharing with others, gardening, and watching her favorite shows, often offering her own spirited commentary on the plots and characters. She had a deep love for animals, and many cherished stories remain of her furry companions throughout the years - most especially her beloved Bella.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Crayne; her parents, and her siblings Andrew, Mary, Dominic, Felix, Edward, and Rizzio.
In addition to her daughters, Rose is survived by six grandchildren: Ryan Stanley (Alina), Jacob Stanley, Michelle Burton (Brett), Amanda Williams (Dane), Taylor Stull and Patrick Dolan, and nine great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Victoria, Jaxson, Kolten, Jace, Noel, Tyler, Zachary and Luke. After a long and full life, Rose leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
Private family graveside services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Arbors Memory Care facility, and Rachelle and her team with Select Physical Therapy.
