Margaret "Peggy" L. Nunning, 67, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013. Margaret was born on March 13, 1946 in Middletown, OH. She graduated from Colonel White High School in Dayton, OH in 1964 and Purdue University in 1968. After moving to Pensacola, she taught Elementary School. Peggy was an active lady and her many hobbies included sewing, tennis, camping, snow skiing, pottery, bridge, bunco and traveling. She held various leadership positions in community organizations/clubs and was involved in many activities including LadyBugs Garden Club, Pensacola Woman's Tennis league (captain), the Wildlife Sanctuary, Pensacola Ski Club, the Alpha Phi Delta Mu Alumae of Purdue University, Pensacola Junior Woman's Club and Kaleidoscope/Ballet Pensacola. She was also a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Chester K. and Lenore A. Weglage Stichweh. She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Nunning of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Katie L. Straw (David T.Straw) of Jacksonville, FL and Sara E. Nunning of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Chloe E. Straw and a grandson, Tristan E. Straw both of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Larry A. Stichweh of Olympia, WA; cousin, Leah Rising of Panama City, FL; nieces, Mindy S. Stichweh of Atlanta, GA and Kerry A. Stichweh of New York, NY. Memorial services will be held at 11am Monday, December 30, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank Beall officiating.
