Margaret Dixon Long Muller, 95, of Pensacola passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. Mrs. Muller was born in Prattville, AL in 1917, and graduated from Pensacola High School in 1936. Immediately after graduation she became the first paid Secretary at First Presbyterian Church in Pensacola. In 1937 she married John Muller, her husband of 63 years. In 1958 she became a Charter Member of Trinity Presbyterian Church where she was actively involved in the Choir, Bell Choir, Sunday School and Women of the Church. She was an Ordained Deacon and Elder in the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Muller served as the first Moderator of the Women of the Church. She was the 1976 recipient of the Trinity Presbyterian Women honorary life membership. In addition, she was active on the PTA at Suter Elementary School where she sold Defense Bonds. She was also a member of the Daisy Garden Club and the Fort Pickens Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution. Her parents, Lunceford and Katie Wilson Long; husband, John L. Muller preceded Mrs. Muller in death. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Peggy) Watson; sons Paul L. Muller, Gary A Muller all of Pensacola; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Monday, February 4, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Dr. Hugh Hamilton and Rev. Frank Beall officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 1555 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32501 or a charity of your choice.
