The evening of January 29, 2016, Margaret Vivian Webb Bradley Smith age 90 moved to her eternal home. She was born on August 19, 1925 in Pensacola, Florida to Thomas Isaiah Bradley and Margaret Lillian (Webb) Bradley and resided in Escambia County her entire life. She attended J.M. Tate School from 1st grade through her graduation in 1943. After graduation she attended Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she graduated with her RN degree in 1946.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and four infant siblings; her husband, Thomas Edward Smith, Sr. and her son, Thomas Edward "Rusty" Smith, Jr. Her survivors include her children; David Bradley Smith (Patricia), Barbara Lynn Smith, William Walter Smith (Cheryl), four grandchildren; Carrie Thornton (Jonathan), Jessica Timmons (Billy), Eric Smith, and Emily Smith, five great-grandchildren; Raine Timmons, William Timmons, Abigail Timmons, Claire Thornton, and Thomas Thornton and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Margaret served as a surgical nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital for more than 32 years and was an active member of the Association for Operating Room Nurses (AORN). She was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron of Florence Carter Chapter #273 several times before affiliating with Ensley Chapter #244. During the 60s and 70s she was an active participant of the Mother's Club for Escambia Chapter Order of DeMolay and in the late 90s served on the Advisory Board for Marvelous Assembly #101 International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was also a recipient of the Grand Cross of Color.

Margaret was a faithful member of St. Mark United Methodist Church for approximately 65 years and a member of the St Mark-Berean Sunday School Class. She served as a Lay Speaker, served on a Medical Mission Team to Jamaica, the nurse/chaperon for many youth trips, and after retirement from nursing, she accepted the role of Kitchen Manager for the church providing the Wednesday night dinners and other special occasion celebrations. Margaret loved hosting parties and dinners for various groups at the church and other personal gatherings at home including her annual Fourth of July cookout.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt not only to her own, but also to anyone who lacked or desired such a relationship. She will always be remembered for her love of Christ that she demonstrated throughout her life. Margaret had a servant heart not only in her professional life, but also in her daily walk of faith.
