Ms. Marie Louise Adkins, "Marysa," age 81 of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Marysa is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Vaughn Adkins.

She is survived by son, Steve Adkins (Kelli) of Hanover, MD; daughter, Tara Gambill (Mike) of Pensacola Beach, FL; grandchildren: Tyler and Connor Adkins and her beloved cat Kenzo.

Marysa was born in Barcelona, Spain, where she lived until moving to Toulouse, France to work as an English teacher. Here she met her husband, Jimmy who was in the Air Force, and then came to the United States in 1965. Marysa was fluent in both French and Spanish which she taught throughout her life while living in Michigan and Georgia and working for the Berlitz School of Language. Marysa volunteered for many years at local hospital while living in Georgia and enjoyed reading, painting, going to the movies, and spending time with her cat Kenzo.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a future date.
