Marilyn Gunter Eddins of Gulf Breeze, FL, died on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at a local hospital.
A native of Pensacola, she had resided in Gulf Breeze for over fifty years.
She attended the University of Alabama and was a graduate of Providence school for nursing in Mobile and served many years as an OB/GYN nurse with the late Dr. Fred Braden.
Mrs. Eddins is preceded in death by her oldest son, Col. Rodney Eddins, II of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rodney (Rocky) Eddins; sons, Paul Gregory Eddins (Tammy) of Birmingham, AL, Mark Douglas Eddins (Stephanie) of Pensacola, FL and David Eddins (Libbie) of Pace, FL; brother, Steve Gunter (Peggy) of Pensacola, FL; sister, Frances Gunter Betts (John) of Hoffman Estates, IL; grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Eddins of Pensacola, FL, Blane, Rachel and Erin Eddins of Birmingham, AL and Avery Elizabeth Eddins of Pace, FL; stepchildren, Tristan and Turner of Pensacola, FL, Grace, Lee Anne and Matthew of Birmingham, AL; beloved pet, Heidi and many other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Sons and grandsons will be pallbearers.
