Marilyn Gless, age 85, of Pensacola, FL, died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Upon completing high school in Columbia, MS, Marilyn went on to earn a Teaching degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. After college, she moved to Pensacola, FL, and began her career teaching the first grade for more than three decades at Ensley Elementary.
In addition to her love of teaching, Marilyn loved God and her church. She was a member of Heights Baptist Church in Pensacola, where she taught Sunday school, and was a dedicated member of the choir.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edith Loftin Robbins; her late husband of forty-two years, Kenneth Edward Gless, and one sister-in-law.

There will be a private graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery on July 7, 2023, where the family will say "goodbye for now" to a very special lady.
In lieu of sending flowers, please consider a small donation to Shriners Hospital for Children or spend time with someone you love and take them to lunch.
