Surrounded by her loving family, Marion M. Langston, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Marion was born in Pensacola on Feb. 7, 1926, the eldest daughter of Edgar D. Lintz, Sr. and Esme C. Crosby Lintz of Pensacola. Marion went to Sacred Heart School, and graduated from Catholic High in 1944. She met her future husband when he was a young aviator in training at Pensacola NAS, and began the globe-trotting life of a Navy wife. They settled in Washington, DC after his retirement, where he passed away in 1992. Coming full circle, she returned to Pensacola in 2009 to the place where it all began. Marion loved to read, was an avid gardener and an accomplished seamstress. She was loved and admired by her family and all who knew her for her resourcefulness, courage and her selfless compassion for others. She now passes forever into the realm of heaven and will live on lovingly in our memory. She is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Langston, USNR of Greenville, SC and Washington, DC; her son, James C. Langston and her sister, Beverly Lintz Gonynor of Pensacola. She is survived by her brothers, Edgar D. Lintz (Shirley) and Lester C. Lintz (Jackie) of Pensacola and sisters, Renee D. Hoffman (George) of Gulf Breeze and Anna C. Smith (Richard) of Bonifay. She is also survived by her children, William M. Langston (Carolyn) of Mineral Springs, AR, Linda Langston and Lisa Christian of Olympia, WA, Miriam E. Caro of Tacoma, WA, John D. Langston and Laura M. Langston of Pensacola and 5 grandchildren, Jesse A. Moorefield of Olympia, WA, Amanda M. Langston of Pensacola, John D. Langston, Jr., James M. Langston and Amber L. Langston of Charlotte Hall, MD and one great grandson, Robin K. Moorefield of Olympia, WA. Visitation will be held 5-7pm Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32504. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am Thursday, July 12, 2012 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3131 Hyde Park Rd., Pensacola, FL 32503, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St., Pensacola, FL 32503. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
