Marjorie Lou Fillingame Taylor, beloved wife of Gerald H. Taylor for 34 years, went to her Father in Heaven Wednesday November 3' at West Florida Hospital. Marjorie was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, February 16, 1948. She graduated from Pensacola High School, was employed at Monsanto Corporation for 33 years and retired in 1999 to enjoy life with Gerald and her children and cherished grandchildren. She was a member of St, Mark United Methodist Church where she was active as a Minister of Older Adults, Head of an Adult Prayer Chain, and member of the New Life Sunday School Class. Her quiet humor, compassion, and love will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Margie was a proud, loving mother and grandmother, and, with Gerald, her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Our loss leaves a hole that can't be filled, and life will be more difficult without this blessed soul, but having her with us has graced the lives of all she met. Margie is survived by her bereaved husband, Gerald, her five children: Karen Wilkins (Steve), Rick Solchenberger (Jennifer), Mark Soichenberger (Holly), Jennifer Sapp and Jonathan Taylor; eleven grandchildren; her sister Carolyn Skipper and two brothers Jesse and Steve Fillingame. Pallbearers are members of the New Life Sunday School Class of St Mark. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM, Saturday, November 6th, followed immediately by funeral services at St. Mark United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery. A reception celebrating Margie's life will follow the interment at St. Mark Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the St. Mark United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2203 N. 12 th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
