Marjorie Hecht Stimmell, 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away August 7, 2015. She was born to the late Roy Reed Watts and Zora Broom Watts on March 21, 1926 in Jasper, AL. Marjorie grew up in Birmingham, AL and attended Huntington College and the University of Alabama. She married George Hecht in 1949 in Birmingham, AL and they were married 45 years. She was the perfect corporate wife, moving from Birmingham to Mobile, AL to Miami, FL and then to North Alabama, supporting his career as a stock broker and attorney. Following his death in 1994, she moved to Pensacola, FL to been near her children where she met, fell in love and married William Stimmell. Marjorie and Bill enjoyed life to the fullest with Bill providing devoted care during her illness. Marjorie was an avid golfer throughout her life. Her last Christmas with us, seeing her grandson's new golf clubs she demanded we help her try and swing a club and she did. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Zora Watts and her husband George Hecht. She is survived by her husband, William Stimmell; daughter, Luann Hecht (Jack) Hennessy of, Pensacola, FL; son, George Steven Hecht of Atlanta, GA and daughter, Nancy Hecht (Lawrence) Floyd of Valley Head, AL. She is also survived by her grandson, Steven Andrew Hecht of Atlanta, GA of whom she was extremely proud and loved dearly. She is also survived by a dear cousin, Sonny Culver, a friend her entire life. The family will receive friends at 9:00am Tuesday, August 11, 2015 until the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, AL.
