IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Anthony
Darling
November 2, 1970 – February 3, 2024
Mark Anthony Darling, 53, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, February 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mark was born and raised in Pensacola, FL. As a young man, Mark was in the Boy Scouts and earned the highest rank becoming an Eagle Scout. He attended B.T. Washington High School. Upon graduation he met the great love of his life, Jennifer. They have been inseparable for 35 years.
Mark worked many years at the Pensacola Regional Airport, then decided to follow his father's footsteps in becoming a Pensacola Police Officer. After ending his career as a Police Officer, Mark went into restaurant food service sales distribution and got his CDL license. Mark was an avid fisherman and was well known on the Pensacola Fishing Forum. You could always find him tinkering around on his third love, his boat. The love of fishing and boating led him to a new career of marine upholstery, which was cut too short.
Along the way, Mark befriended many people. To know Mark was to love Mark. When he was your friend, he was your friend for life. He had an incredible personality and sense of humor which was not always "G" rated. Marks smile would fill the room! He was a good simple, genuine man. He was a man of his word, a man of high integrity.
Mark was the best friend, husband and father anyone could ask for. He was a family man that was devoted to his wife and kids. Participating in his children's lives was his passion. It could be as simple as eating lunch at school with his kids, crafting, sewing, t-ball and volunteering with the B.T. Washington High School band. He was there for his children. His kids were his life, and his kids worshiped the ground he walked on. This world will not be the same without Mark in it. He was taken way too soon. To say Mark will be incredibly missed by his wife and children would be an understatement. Our hearts are broken. Mark, we LOVE you bunches and bunches, forever and ever! You will not be forgotten!
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Glenn G. Darling and his mother, Jean A. Darling.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jennifer McCann; sons, Parker Darling, and Grayson Darling; daughter, Greenlee Darling; and a yappy little white dog named Macy; as well as other family members.
