Obituary

Dr. Mark Andrew Lambert, 57, of Pensacola passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Pensacola FL.

Dr. Mark Lambert was a native of Pensacola, FL. Dr. Lambert graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School. After attending college at the University of Alabama, University of West Florida, and Florida State University, he spent two years in Dallas TX at Baylor Medical Center doing surgical research on a variety of Orthopedic and Organ Transplantation projects. He is published in several peer reviewed journals. Dr. Lambert received his medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned The Baird Johnson Award and was listed in Who's Who in American Medical Colleges and Universities. He was elected President of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Student Association and held the office for two years. Dr. Lambert's three-year residency was completed at Huntington VA Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital Surgical Residency Program, affiliated with the Marshall University School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident for two years. He finished his training and returned to Pensacola, Florida to practice in July of 1999. Dr. Lambert specialized in complex medical and surgical treatment of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He trained in the U.S. and Europe to learn the application of the Ilizarov technique to correct a whole host of musculoskeletal disorders. He traveled extensively to keep up with the latest techniques in Medicine and Surgery. To give back to the profession, Dr. Lambert trained medical assistant interns, Medical Students, Surgical Residents, and other physicians in the latest techniques in Podiatry and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery. He lectured to Medical Students at the Florida State University School of Medicine in Pensacola and conducted seminars all over the U.S. He is an adjunct Clinical Faculty member at the FSU School of Medicine in Pensacola and is a member of the Clinical Faculty at Presence St. Joseph Hospital Residency Program in Chicago. Dr. Lambert was one of the founding members of the Andrews Institute Surgery Center in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He was also a lifelong Boy Scout having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and served on the Board of Directors of his local Boy Scouts of America chapter. He held fellowships from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He was a Diplomate-American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Diplomate-American Medical Specialties Board, and was the component president of the Northwest Florida Podiatric Society of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. He recently served as President of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA).

Dr. Lambert is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Lambert of Atmore AL; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley J. Credeur of Pensacola; father, Charles Andrew Lambert of Pensacola and brother, Todd A. Lambert of Atlanta.

Dr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Pamela and daughter, Isabella, both of whom are the loves of his life; his loving mother, Sue Ellen Fullen of Alexandria VA; his brother, Doug Lambert (Karen) and niece, Sarah Lambert of Tallahassee, FL; stepmother, Linda Lambert of Pensacola FL.; mother-in-law, Marjorie Bain, Pensacola; sister-in-law, Vicki Crochet (Jeff); nephew, David Crochet (Chelsey) of Mandeville LA; niece, Tori Bennett (Brandon) of Crestview, FL, also his beloved office staff, colleagues, patients and many dear friends near and far.

A graveside visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm before the service.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Bayview Memorial Park located at 3351 Scenic Highway in Pensacola, FL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's memory to the Florida Podiatric Medical Society (FPMS) to fund educational scholarships for the benefit of future podiatric medical students.
