IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Nolan
Bacciocco
March 18, 1943 – May 9, 2019
Mary Nolan Bacciocco, age 76, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord, on May 9, 2019. She was at home and surrounded in love by her immediate family in Brookfield, WI.
Mary's passing was preceded in death by her parents, her son Richard in 1964, her husband Chuck in 1989, her sister Dolores in 2006 and her grandson Joseph in 2007.
Mary was born in 1943 to parents Jesse and Marie Nolan in Norfolk, VA. She grew up with her sisters, Dolores and Bonnie in Philadelphia. She married the love of her life, Charles Bacciocco III, in 1963. Together they had 3 children, Richard, Charles and Susan.
Mary and Chuck raised their family in Mechanicsburg, PA, before moving to Gulf Breeze, FL, in 1983. Her husband Chuck passed away in 1989.
Mary was always busy, most notably working for many years at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and volunteering in retirement for her parish.
Mary's favorite thing to do was to share her joy of life with her family and friends. Mary loved to smile, and she made friends easily wherever she went. One of her favorite places to be was the boardwalk on Pensacola beach, where there were always good friends, good music and a refreshing ocean breeze.
She was a life-long optimist, calling attention to every blessing around her. For Mary, even rain was something to be consciously grateful for. She especially loved thunderstorms at night. Regardless of the time, she would wake anyone she could to enjoy the storm with her, outside under a porch. She smiled fearlessly from ear-to-ear as the lightning and thunder boomed around her and the cold rain splashed at her feet.
Mary was full of love, kindness and humor every day of her life. She was always sharing her passion for life with the people around her. She enjoyed a good up of coffee, an inspirational hymn at mass, walking on the beach with a friend, and taking the time to enjoy every sunrise and sunset she could. In the final years of her life, Mary brought her love, humor and optimism to the people that needed it most, at the memory-care community of Silverado in Brookfield, WI.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan Bacciocco and granddaughters, Regan and Erin, as well as her son, Charles Bacciocco IV, daughter-in-law, Dana Bacciocco, granddaughter, Clare, and grandson, Charlie, and by her sister Bonnie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to BrightFocus.org, an Alzheimer's research organization.
A visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL on Friday, May 17 at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 PM and burial at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2:00 PM, where she will rest beside Chuck.
