Obituary

Miss Mary Louise Black, 89, of Pensacola passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Miss Black was born on May 29, 1920 in Escambia County, AL to Ella Virginia (Hardee) Black and Lawrence Claude Black. She worked for Civil Service as an Assistant to the Training Officer at NAS Pensacola, retiring with 33 years of service. She was a member of the Toastmistresses Club serving in numerous positions. Miss Black was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pensacola. Her parents; brothers Claude Black and Virgil C. Black preceded her in death. Survivors include brother James S. Black of Kenmore, WA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 9:00am Wednesday, January 27, 2010 until the Funeral Service at 10:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Dr. Wesley Wachob officiating. Burial will follow in the Canoe Freewill Cemetery, Canoe, AL at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, Pensacola, FL 32504. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
