Mary Elizabeth Couch, 97, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017.

Mrs. Couch was born in Middlebourne, WV to Frank C. Grimm, a firefighter and Dessie B. Grimm, a household engineer. Her brother was Wilber Mark Grimm. She grew up in Parkersburg, WV. Mrs. Couch Graduated from Parkersburg High School. She then attended business school in Marietta, OH.

Mrs. Couch is preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. Grimm and Dessie B. Grimm; husband, Melvin J. Couch, an army officer and brother, Walter Mark Grimm.

She is survived by her son, Deck F. Couch, a retired Periodontist; daughter-in-law, E. Karen Couch, a social worker; daughters, Samantha Couch McIntosh and Christian Couch Rushing; granddaughter, Ashley Markham; grandson, Joshua McIntosh and great granddaughter, Aila June Rushing.

Her ashes will be placed next to her husband in a crypt at Barrancas National Cemetery. Family and friends are to meet at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel at 11:30 am, Thursday, February 16, 2017 for an escorted procession to the cemetery departing at 12:00 pm. A brief farewell will be given there at 12:30 pm.
