Obituary

Beth Keane, age 66, of Gulf Breeze, FL was surrounded by love when she left this earth on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, as a result of metastasized breast cancer. Waiting to welcome her into heaven are her beloved parents, Mary and Wilson Gilliat and infant grandson, Tristan Klein Keane. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband of 41 years, Thomas P. Keane and her greatest blessings sons, Justin Christopher Klein Keane, Thomas Christian Keane, James Wilson Keane and Benjamin Patrick Keane. Blessings were multiplied when Justin married Wendy Klein Keane who had Beth's dear grandson, Harper Nash Klein Keane, and Christian married Shannon Rigney Keane who bore Beth's wonderful granddaughter, Winnie and sweet grandson, Duncan Lancelot. She was close to her 3 sisters, Laurie Wagner (Terry) of Edmund, OK, Kathleen Buckner (Dan) of Pensacola and Elaine Denning of Pensacola. Special family, aunt, Ann VanDyne; cousin, Peter VanDyne and sister-in-law, Rosalie Keane. Beth was born in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Stevens College in MO and got her Master's degree from Oklahoma University in Norman, OK. She worked for the U.S. Coast Guard Institute in Oklahoma City and met Tom. She moved around the country with Tom, who was in the Coast Guard and her boys. She loved her daughters-in-law, playing Hand and Foot, her Aunt Doy's pies and working and traveling as a national speaker for Studer Group. Visitation will be held 5-7pm on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze with Msgr. Luke Hunt celebrant. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Committal Service will be held at 1:15pm after the reception at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504 or the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Dr., Pensacola, FL 32504. Special thanks to the members of our St. Ann Parish and staff especially our Renew Group who provided spiritual comfort and meals for physical sustenance; Jeannie and Gary Barnes, Chuck and Kathy Porter, Bob and Fran Blake, Lee and Francine Neal, Maryann and Mark Fennimore, Bob and Elaine Purdy. Special thanks to Quint Studer and the employees of Studer Group for their kindness, care and concern. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Sunnenberg of Sacred Heart Cancer Center, Covenant Hospice and hospice nurse, Sonja Williamson, RN for their excellent medical care and comfort.
