Mary R. Kirkland, 86, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO where she had been living with her son. Mary grew up in the Savannah, GA area where she met Andy, her husband. After 20+ years of travel with the military, she and Andy moved to Gulf Breeze when Andy retired from the Air Force. Mary was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who loved to grow vegetables, laugh, and talk with whoever crossed her path. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Kirkland. Mary is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law, Julie and her grandchildren, Audrey Bahrani and Nicholas Kirkland. Visitation will be held at 11am Friday, December 6, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Funeral services beginning at 12pm (noon). Chaplain Ken Griffin will be officiating. Graveside committal services will follow at 1:15pm at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family wishes to give Special thanks to Mary's friends, relatives and the staff at Village at Skyline, (Colorado Springs), who have loved her and helped her.
