Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Condon, 86, of Pensacola, FL, died peacefully in her sleep in her home on February 1, 2017.
Mary Lou was born outside Pittsburgh, PA, where she attended school and resided until she met her husband, Paul. She was a high school athlete and enjoyed her time growing up with her two sisters, Betty Lou and Faye, as well as her younger brother Leonard. She met Paul, the love of her life, to whom she was married for 43 years until his death in 1992. She had four children with Paul and moved from the Pittsburgh area to Danville, VA as a result of Paul's job as a manager of stores in the G.C. Murphy chain. In Danville she was known as an avid bowler and bridge player.
She and Paul lived in Danville for a number of years where they enjoyed a number of friends as they continued to raise their four children. In 1971 Paul's job took them to Pensacola, FL, where Mary Lou resided until her death. She was best known in Pensacola as the owner/operator of Bartel's Restaurant until her sale of that business and retirement. At Bartel's she was known to a number of her regular customers as "mom."

andson, Nick Condon; her parents and her brother.
She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Bushong (Jim) of Danville, VA, Randy Condon (Selma) of Pensacola, FL, and Dan Condon (Jan) of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Shaun Condon (Kathy), Tyler Bushong, Ryan Condon (Erika), Colin Hightower (Kristen), Brian Condon and Ashley Condon; as well as six great grandchildren; her two sisters and a number of nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Monday, February 6, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Fr. Pete McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola.
Mary Lou's Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, or your favorite charity.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Tammy Maisonneuve and Tina Jaminez who became Mary Lou's companions and provided her company during the last part of her life.
