Mary Ellen (McCartney) Miller, 88, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Mary Ellen was a native of Cresson, PA, met her husband in Washington DC, traveled extensively as a Navy wife, and settled in Pensacola for the past 47 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Beryl.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Williams (Dale), Philip Miller, William Miller (Ellen), and Christine Day (Michael); 9 grandchildren, Rebecca Williams Edmondson (Keith), Neil Williams, Matthew Miller (Kristyn), Allison Miller Levi (Jimbo), Patrick Miller, Tim Miller, Caroline Day, Melanie Day, and Caitlin Day; also 5 great-grandchildren, Burgin, Easton and Lawson Levi, and Benjamin and Theodore Miller.

Mary Ellen was first and foremost a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Augustine Circle and Poinciana Garden Club.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rosary to be prayed at 5pm. The Funeral Mass will be 12:30pm Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or Pensacola Catholic High School.
