Mary Patricia McSweeney Webb, age 87, died Monday, July 3, 2017. Mary Patricia McSweeney was born July 1, 1930 in Memphis, TN to William Joseph McSweeney and Mary Elizabeth O'Connell. She was a graduate of Saint Thomas Academy for Girls High School in 1948, where she served as class President. She also received a medal of honor from the Pope for her service to her Catholic faith. She studied opera and attended Sienna College. Affectionately known to many, Trisha, met the love of her life, tall, blond haired, blue eyed, Johnny, on a blind date. In 1950 she married John Karl Webb, Jr. to whom she remained happily married for 67 years. They lived in Mobile, AL 1953-1965, Lansdale, PA 1965-1974 and moved to Pensacola in 1974. Johnny always said Trisha "is one of a kind".

Together they raised six children and instilled in them faith and family under the tenants of the Catholic faith. Trisha attended St. Paul's Catholic Church for 42 years where she routinely volunteered.

Trisha was among the oldest members of the National Society of Washington Family Descendants.

Trisha was always remembered for her affectionate smile and her thoughtfulness. In her presence, you were made to feel like the most important person in the room. Trisha was quick to share her love for the Blessed Mother, a slice of her award-winning Blue Ribbon cake, or a quick story of her Irish and family heritage.

Tish-Tish, as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren, loved every moment of life spent with them.

Mary Patricia is survived by her husband, John Karl Webb, Jr.; four sons, Joseph Edward Webb, John Karl Webb III (Denise), Bryan Patrick Webb (Julie) of Pensacola, FL; Kevin McSweeney Webb (Kristin) of Cleveland, OH; two daughters, Mary Shawn Webb Russell (Tom) of Bolivia, NC and Catherine Nina Marie Webb Blay (Eric) of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jenny Kathleen Knapp, Patrick Michael Webb (Shawna), Elizabeth Ann Sullivan, Jacob William Webb, Gabrielle Katherine Webb (Rob), Jacquelyn Nina Forte (Raymond), Allee' O'Connell Blay Brown, Charles Joseph Blay, Tessa Ashley Webb, Elizabeth Oman (Stephen), Jason Aue and 12 great-grandchildren, Paige Knapp, Randle Knapp, Rockne Bryan Patrick Webb, Vance Bjorn David Webb, Teresa Marie Forte, Jude Francis Forte, Dominic Xavier Forte, Daniel Francis Sullivan, V, Molly McSweeney Brown, Jasper Oman, Ashton Noah Blackledge, Luke Eliasson Lane.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Sunday, July 9, 2017 with a Rosary prayed at 6:30pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Fowler, celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
