Mary McLeod Prescott Varwig, 59, of Gulf Breeze, FL., passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Mary was born in Miami, FL, graduated from Gulf Breeze High School in 1981 and attended The University of Florida, where she played softball. She worked as an Emergency Technician at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL and at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Mary was a devout Catholic and attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. She loved camping, fishing and going tubing down Coldwater Creek with her family. Mary also enjoyed playing Bingo for charities. Her favorite thing to do was to sit on the beach and watch the sun rise and the sun set.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann and Raymond McLeod and daughter, Raeann Lee Prescott.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dallas Varwig; daughter, Kristen Prescott; sons, Levette Micheal Prescott (Bryan), Ryan Lee Prescott (Samantha), Dallas Varwig (Danielle) and Garrett Varwig and grandchildren, Landyn Prescott, Coltyn Prescott, Amelia Varwig and Logan Varwig; sister, Cathy McLeod Fox; brothers, Raymond William McLeod, II (Cindy), Michael Mcleod (Annie) and Richard McLeod (Kelly).

A visitation  will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00 pm at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 am with Father John Cayer, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.
