IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary J.
Reins
August 21, 1949 – January 27, 2025
Our beautiful and precious Mother and Mimi, Mary Reins, 75, of Pensacola, FL received her angel wings on January 27, 2025, surrounded by her family
Mary was born in Buckeye, AZ. She graduated from Southeast Warren High School, Class of 1967. After graduation, Mary received a certificate for Data Entry. She was a hard-working woman, who took pride in her work and worked several jobs at a time to help provide for her family. Before she moved to Pensacola in 1992, she worked at Roberts and Cherry Company in Shreveport, LA. In 1993, she started working at NSPA and after 22 years of service, she retired in 2015. She enjoyed working there and to her they were like family, and they felt the same way about her.
She was a member of Crossview Church. She loved her church family and loved serving God. She would take her granddaughter, Kamy, to iGlo and she enjoyed the time she got to spend with her while doing so. She attended many church functions, and she volunteered her time with food drives and, also volunteered with the American Red Cross. She found it to be an honor to be a Boy Scout Mom and enjoyed it. She loved her special adopted grandchildren and bonus children.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She spent her spare time reading, watching movies, trying out new restaurants, collecting anything that had to do with seashells, playing games on her phone, and before she became unable to do so, she loved cooking. Her favorite author was Dean Koontz. She loved to travel, and she visited Niagara Falls, Graceland, and went to the Grand Ole Opry, and took a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.
Her smile was contagious and would light up any room. She had a kind and gentle soul and would give you the shirt off her back, but could also crack a joke, just to make you laugh. The best advice she would give you if you were having a rough day was, "Let Go, and Let God." Her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Clare Reins; parents, Esco Thomas and Amyl Cavanaugh; brothers, Billy, Johnny (Norma), Jack Ramsey; and sister, Cozy Range (Charles); brother-in-law, Corwin Reins; sister-in-law, Vonna Reins; niece, Jami Reins Howitt; great nephew, Cory Jones, and granddaughter, Rochelle Geter.
