Mary A. Slay Brewer, 79, of Pensacola FL passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. Mary was born on August 18, 1933 in Buckatunna, MS. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her presence, infectious smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind beautiful memories and a warm place in all of our hearts. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Annie Rose Slay as well as a sister, Nelda Rose. Survivors include her husband, Fred Brewer; children, Jennifer Holman, Fritz (Lisa) of Atlanta, Mary Ellen Woods (Jack) and Dan (Lisa); grandchildren, Mandy (Matt) Harper, Jacob Holman, Alexander Brewer, Olivia Brewer, Miles Brewer, Nathan Woods, Allie Woods, Kathryn Woods, Brennan Brewer and Reese Brewer; sisters, June Stephenson and Jean (Murry) Rew both of Ward, AL and many extended family. Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00pm Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Dr. Hugh Hamilton officiating.
