IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maureen Anne
Singleton
September 21, 1938 – June 19, 2023
Maureen Anne Singleton, 84, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023.
Maureen was born in Kent, Sussex, England, and was an only child to William and Maureen Summers. She came to the United States and started a family. She and her late husband, Chesley lived in San Diego, CA, Alabama, and settled in Pensacola in 1963. She raised two boys and a daughter. Chesley retired from the Navy, and they decided to stay in Pensacola. Maureen worked at Rhodes Furniture and then Rooms to Go for 30 plus years and was loved by all. She had an Interior Design degree and loved to decorate her customers' homes. Rooms to Go, staff, were her family until she retired in 2015. She and Chesley loved to travel and go to Biloxi to gamble. She loved her grandkids and great-grandchildren. She loved to have dinner with her family and go out to eat and drink her beloved "Chardonnay". Being around her family and friends is what kept her going since she lost her amazing husband in 2017.
Maureen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chesley Gene Singleton; as well as her son, Chesley R.V. "Chewy" Singleton.
Survivors include her daughter, Maureen Olivia Stanford; son-in-law, Michael Stanford; son, William Gene "Billy" Singleton (Donna); grandchildren, Jacob and Kaylyn Singleton, Bailey Clark (Olivia Larson), and her "Blakey" Blake Stanford; great grandchildren, Ryker Singleton and Hadleigh Singleton.
