Maxine Anita Falzone Simon, 67, of Pensacola, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009. Mrs. Simon was born in Pensacola, FL on August 14, 1941 to Jasper and Geraldine Falzone. In 1955, she graduated the 8th grade from St. Stephens School, and in 1959 graduated high school from Sacred Heart Academy in Cullman, AL. After graduation she worked at the C&P Bank. She and her loving husband Jack owned and operated Sandy's, and later Jack's Restaurant. She later went to work for Pacer Industries and was currently employed with the Civil Service at NAS Pensacola. Mrs. Simon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Her parents Jasper and Geraldine Falzone, brother Richard P. Falzone, grandparents Libertino and Josephine Falzone; Edward Paul and Isabel Scholz, Sr. preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband John (Jack) Simon, Sr.; son John (Bubba) Simon, Jr. (Jennifer) and their children McKenzie and Jasper; son David Scott Simon (Tammy) and their children Maggie and Eli; daughter Dori Simon Lipscomb (Allen) and their son Brett; daughter Susan Simon Peaden (David Peaden, II) and their children Katherine, John David and Lauren; brothers Albert (Bert) Falzone (Yolanda); Robert Falzone (Trena); Jasper (Buddy) Falzone (Hilda); sister Carol Falzone Baker; Uncle Peter A. Falzone (Billie); Aunts Anita Falzone Faggioni, Faye Scholz Evans; Uncle Henry Gilmore;and a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. A Rosary will be prayed at 5:00pm Thursday, April 23, 2009 followed by the visitation until 7:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, April 24, 2009 at Little Flower Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Eugene Casserly, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum. HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
